Maternity Testing

A maternity test is a DNA test that determines whether a woman could be the biological mother of a child. Test requires the Child, Alleged Mother and Biological Father.  If the father is not available, a fatherless test can be performed, without additional charge. 

Maternity test results are used in the following circumstances:
o    Confirm that an adoptee has been reunited with his/her birth mother.
o    Confirm that an embryo conceived through in vitro fertilization was implanted into the correct mother.
o    Resolve situations in which mothers or hospital staff suspect that a baby mix-up has occurred in the nursery.
